MQM-P chief Farooq Sattar hints at reconciliation with Rabita Committee

The deadlock between the factions created amidst split in the Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) over Senate tickets persisted for another consecutive day as both factions of the party announced their separate candidates for the upcoming senate elections.

The MQM-P Convener Farooq Sattar and the members of Rabita Committee held multiple pressers on Wednesday which resulting in further deepening the rift.

After several rounds of meetings between Dr Farooq Sattar and party’s Rabita Committee over the nomination of candidates for the March 3 Senate elections, Sattar told his workers that we are all brothers and we should have a positive attitude. We don’t want to give the impression that there is a divide between us.

Earlier, Waseem Akhtar clarified that their party centre is based in Bahadurabad, and not PIB Colony where chief Farooq Sattar held meetings.
